A: A BUZ is an audio message that contains your voice with optional music or other sounds in the background. BUZes can be sent:

A: When you Put a BUZ on your Web page, you will be setting up a visual voicemail player (called Voice Messager) for any Web page. The greeting you create will become the welcome greeting in Voice Messager that visitors to your Web page will be able to hear.
Q: What does it mean to Get a BUZ in my cell voicemail?
A: When you Get a BUZ, you will get your own voicemail greeting that people will hear when they call you. But unlike traditional voice greetings, a BUZ contains your favorite music mixed with your personalized voice message. Q: What does it mean to Send a BUZ to a cell phone?
A: On GETaBUZ you can send voice messages and messages that contain both voice and music to any cell phone without the phone ringing. How do I get voice messages on my Web page?
Q: What is Voice Messager?
A: It's the coolest way to communicate with your friends using MySpace, Facebook (or any Web page) and your cell phone. Friends leave you voice messages on your Web page (or send them to your Web page from their cell phone) and those messages can automatically be forwarded to your cell phone without the phone ringing. You and your friends can also listen to them on your Web Page. Voice Messager also plays your personal welcome greeting with your favorite song in the background. Think of it as visual voicemail for your Web page.
Q: How do I get Voice Messager?
A: First go to the BUZ Mixer to choose the music you will use in your welcome greeting and record your voice message to go along with it. Then choose the colors and photo for your applications. And finally copy the html code to your page.

A: They can visit your Web page (on which you have loaded Voice Messager) and record messages for you there. If you provided a cell number when you registered on GETaBUZ, they can also send messages to your Web page by calling 888-5-SENDABUZ. By providing us with your cell phone number, we can link your phone and your Web pages.
Q: How much does Voice Messager cost?
A: Voice Messager itself is FREE. You may need to purchase the greeting you use for your welcome greeting though. If you are new to GETaBUZ, your first greeting is free and you can earn more free greeting coupons by referring friends.
Q: Can I have more than one Voice Messager?
A: Yes, feel free to put a Voice Messager with a different welcome greeting on each of your Web pages. If you would like to use the identical Voice Messager on more than one page, you can copy the html code to use for the players you've already set up
here. Regardless of how many Voice Messagers you have, you will be able to hear a message that is left for you on one Web page, on all your Web pages.
Q: Can I change my Voice Messager once I've loaded it onto my Web page?
A: Sure. You can change your welcome greeting, and the color scheme and picture you have used. Start by creating a new greeting. When you're done and are on the player selection page, choose your current player from the list.
Q: Can anyone hear messages that are left for me?
A: You can listen to private messages in
Message Manager which is accessible from the Voice Messager menu (Facebook users, click on the GETaBUZ Application on your Application List.), or from your US cell phone by calling 888-5-SENDABUZ.
Q: Do my friends have to pay to leave me voice messages?
A: Messages left for you on Voice Messager are always free. During our Voice Messager Beta Program there are no charges for having them forwarded to your cell phone. After the Beta Program there will be a service fee for delivery to your cell phone from a Voice Messager.
Q: How do I delete messages I've received?
A: Go to
Message Manager, located on the Voice Messager menu. Using Message Manager, you can view, hear, delete and change the privacy setting of all the messages you've received. Facebook users, click on the GETaBUZ Application on your Application List then the Message Manager Tab. If you are in the US, you can also call 888-5-SENDABUZ from your cell phone to listen to and delete your messages.

Q: Who will hear BUZes I send?
A: BUZes you send from GETaBUZ.com or by calling 888-5-SENDABUZ, are privately delivered directly to the cell phone number you specify. If the person you're BUZzing also has a Web page with Voice Messager, you will be asked whether you want to send your BUZ to their Web page as well. If you select this option, your BUZ may be heard by anyone who visits that person's Web page.
When leaving a BUZ message in Voice Messager on someone's Web page, all messages are made public unless you specifically click the "Private" check box in Voice Messager. If you mark a message private, it will only be delivered to the GETaBUZ user's phone and will not be available on their Web page.
Q: Do I have to have a US cell number to use GETaBUZ?
A: No. You can use and receive messages on Voice Messager, and send BUZes to any US cell number even if you do not have a US cell number. However you will not be able to receive BUZ messages or greetings on your own cell phone.
Q: When I Send a BUZ to someone, will their phone ring?
A: No - the BUZ will simply be placed in their voicemail box and their voicemail indicator will notify them that they have a new message. In the event we are unable to deliver a message to someone's voicemail box, we will instead send them a text message instructing them to call 888-5-SENDABUZ to listen to the message. Anyone can call this number at any time to listen to messages they've received.
Q: When I Get a BUZ, will my phone ring?
A: Except for rare cases, your phone will not ring - the BUZ will simply be placed in the voicemail system of your as your new outbound voicemail greeting. You will receive an email or text message when it's there.
Q: I Got a BUZ for my cell phone voicemail, but my greeting hasn't changed. Why?
A: It is possible that the voicemail password you entered on GETaBUZ and the password in your voicemail itself do not match. Please check the password you entered is correct. In rare cases we are unable to load a BUZ due to a problem with the network or cell phone company's voicemail system. You will not be charged for an incomplete delivery. We will always make multiple attempts to load a BUZ and will keep you posted of the status of a delivery if problems show up.
Q: Why wasn't the BUZ I sent delivered?
A: In rare cases we are unable to deliver a BUZ due to a problem with the network or cell phone company's voicemail system. We will also not be able to send a BUZ to someone if their mailbox is full. You will not be charged for an incomplete delivery. We will always make multiple attempts to deliver a BUZ and will keep you posted of the status of a delivery if problems show up.
Q: Can I send a BUZ to someone outside the United States?
A: Currently we can only deliver to cell numbers in the United States. However you can leave messages on the Web pages of anyone using Voice Messager anywhere in the world.
Q: Can I schedule a BUZ to be sent on a future date?
A: Yes, when you Send a BUZ you can specify the date and time you want it delivered, as far as 3 months out.
Q: When I Send a BUZ, how is it accessed by the person I send it to?
A: The BUZ you send will be retrieved by the recipient as a regular voicemail message from their phone. The recipient can also call 888-5-SENDABUZ from their cell phone to listen to the message.
Q: Is there a way to save a BUZ I have received?
A: All BUZ messages are saved until you delete them in the GETaBUZ system. You can listen to, save and delete messages by calling 888-5-SENDABUZ. Messages you receive in your cell phone's voicemail system are also stored there until you delete them.
Q: Can a BUZ I send to someone be forwarded to another person?
A: Yes, a BUZ you send to someone can be forwarded to another phone number provided their cell phone company supports that capability. The phone to which a message is forwarded will typically have to be with the same cell phone company, and in many cases, in the same geographic area.
Q: How do I know when the BUZ I requested has been activated in my voicemail?
A: You will receive a text or email message depending on your preference setting.
Q: How long does it take for a BUZ to be sent or activated?
A: Usually less than 10 minutes. Network problems may cause delays. If your BUZ has not arrived after 4 hours, feel free to
contact us for status.
Q: The person I sent a BUZ to says they did not receive it. What should I do?
A: It sometimes may take a little longer than expected to send a BUZ, especially in busy periods. If we are having a problem with a delivery you scheduled, you will receive a notification via email. If a scheduled delivery is more than 4 hours overdue and you did not receive an email or SMS message indicating a potential problem, please
let us know and we'll look into it.

Q: How do I create a BUZ with music in it?
A: Go to the
BUZ Mixer. BUZ Mixer The Music, Voice and Mix tracks on the left are where the audio clips will be displayed and played. You determine what goes in to those tracks using the 3 matching tabs on the right. Follow these easy steps to "fill in" the Music, Voice and Mix tracks"
- If you like the pre-loaded music jump to step 2. Otherwise search for and then click on another clip on the Music tab to load it into the Music track. To upload your own mp3, click on the Load Music button to the left of the music track.
- Click on the link in the Voice track to display the Voice tab. If you have a microphone or headset, click the red Record button and start talking. If you don't have a microphone, click on RECORD ON THE PHONE, enter your phone number and click CALL ME. When your phone rings, follow the instructions to record your voice. Hang up when you're done and your voice recording will display in the Voice track. Click and drag your voice recording to start it at a different point relative to the music.
- Click on the link in the Mix track to create a mix of your music and voice. If your voice comes out too soft in the mix, drag the vertical voice/music balance control down and click Mix again.
- 4. Click on "Put a BUZ..." if you're creating a welcome BUZ for your Web page, "Get a BUZ..." if you're creating a BUZ for your own voicemail, or "Send a BUZ..." if you're sending a BUZ to someone else.

Q: How do I create a BUZ that contains only my voice?
A: From any US cell phone call 888-5-SENDABUZ, record your message, enter the destination cell number and send it. It will be delivered within minutes without the phone ringing. Create a voice message online by clicking Send a BUZ on the GETaBUZ menu bar, and selecting "Without music" on the list. Or
click here. A voice recorder will appear. If you have a microphone or headset, click the Microphone button and start talking. If you don't have a microphone, click the Phone button, enter your phone number and click CALL ME. When your phone rings, follow the instructions to record your voice. Hang up when you're done and your voice recording will display on the screen. Click NEXT when you are done.
Q: What is a celebrity greeting?
A: It is a greeting that contains the voice of a celebrity, and optionally your voice as well. You can use a celebrity's voice instead of music in your greeting.
Q: Is it possible to personalize a celebrity greeting?
A: Yes. Go to the BUZ Mixer and select ‘Celeb Voices’ from the list of genres on the right hand side. Click on a track to listen to it. The celebrity voice will be loaded into the Music track. You can then record your voice and drag your voice recording left or right to start at the appropriate time relative to the celebrity's voice. Click Mix when you're done to combine the celebrity voice and your own. Some of the track names suggest, in parentheses, things you might say.
Q: How much do celebrity greetings cost?
A: The price of each celebrity greeting is shown below the name of the track in the BUZ Mixer. They are priced between $0.99 and $2.49. As with music-based greetings, you can use free BUZCoupons or BUZCredit to pay for a celebrity greeting.
Q: How do I send a message with funny sounds to someone or put one in my voicemail greeting?
A: Go to the BUZ Mixer and select ‘Sounds’ from the list of genres on the right hand side. Click on a track to listen to it. The sound will be loaded into the Music track. You can then record your voice and lay it on top of the music track by clicking Mix. Click a button on the Mix tab to continue - Send a BUZ to send the message to someone or Get a BUZ to put the message in your own voicemail.
Q: How long can a BUZ be?
A: BUZes with music can be up to 30 seconds long. BUZes that contain only a voice message can be up to 2 minutes long.
Q: How long should my BUZ be?
A: While the maximum length of a BUZ is 30 seconds, when you are getting a BUZ, try keeping it under 20 seconds for the sanity of your callers.
Q: Can I use GETaBUZ if I don't have a microphone or headset on my computer?
A: If you have a US phone number you can record your voice messages over the phone. Otherwise you will need a microphone.
Q: Why do some songs have multiple durations listed under them?
A: For your convenience, we have created clips of different lengths and/or different parts of the same song. Try them all to see which you like best.
Q: What does the Piano icon next to the name of a music clip mean?
A: Only instruments, dude. No vocals.

A: The clip was recorded in the style of the listed artist, but was not performed by the listed artist.
Q: I have a soft voice. How will people hear it over the music?
A: When you create a mix, we automatically lower the volume of the music when your voice starts. If you need more control over the balance between the voice and music, use the balance slider to the right of the Music and Voice tracks. Drag it down to make your voice recording louder relative to the music, and up to make the music louder relative to your voice recording. Click on the Mix track to recreate the mix with the new settings.
How much does a BUZ cost and how do I get free ones?
Q: How do I pay for a BUZ I want to send to a cell phone or get for my greeting in Voice Messager or my cell phone?
A: You need to have either BUZCoupons or BUZCredit in your account:

A: You can create as many BUZes in the BUZ Mixer as you like for free. You will only need to pay for your BUZ when you want to Put it on your Web page, Get it in your voicemail or Send it to someone. Buy your BUZes one at a time using PayPal, with free BUZCoupons you've earned, or using your stash of BUZCredit.
Q: How do I pay for a BUZ or BUZCredit?
A: GETaBUZ accepts payment via PayPal. PayPal is a secure way to pay via credit card or via transfer of funds from a bank account.

A: After you have created a BUZ message or greeting, you will be prompted to register or login to your account before you can send it. If you prefer to register without creating a BUZ, you can do so by clicking "Register" on the My Account menu.

Q: When I registered it said I would receive an email verification message but I never got one. What should I do?
A: It is possible that the verification email message was placed in your Junk/Spam folder. Please check there. You should also add donotreply@getabuz.com and support@getabuz.com to your address book so you receive delivery and customer support notifications from us. If your verification email has not arrived with 30 minutes, please send an email to support@getabuz.com from the email account you registered with and we will verify it for you.
Q: Do I have to live in the US to register on GETaBUZ?
A: No, but you must be at least 13 years old.

A: Your GETaBUZ password is for accessing your GETaBUZ account online or from your phone. Your voicemail password is the number you set up to access the voicemail system on your mobile phone. Our system uses your voicemail password to load your BUZ into your voicemail system when you Get a BUZ.

Q: What is a referral widget and why would I want to use one?

Troubleshooting and Software Requirements
Q: When I try to record my voice with my desktop microphone or headset, nothing is recorded. What should I do?
A: If no sound wave form appears in the Voice track when you record, you may need to adjust your microphone settings by right-clicking (ctrl-click on Mac) on the Voice track and clicking Settings... on the menu. Then click the the Microphone icon on the panel that is displayed. If you are using a USB headset or microphone, make sure it is selected on the Microphone list. If your microphone does not appear on the list, refresh your browser window and try again. You should also make sure the Record Volume is loud enough (the voice detection meter on the left of the panel should show at least green and yellow colors when you talk). Click Close when you are done.
If you are still having problems, we suggest recording your voice over the phone.

Q: I just bought a USB headset. How do I get it to work?
A: Right-click (ctrl-click on Mac ) on the Voice track and clicking Settings... on the menu. Then click the the Microphone icon on the panel that is displayed.
Your USB headset or microphone should appear on the list of Microphones. Select it and click Close. If your microphone does not appear on the list,
refresh your browser window and try again.
